My first official solo show!

Today’s the day! 🤩

My first official solo show opens today! It is entitled Tombstone Tourism and was curated by Tapiial Virtual (based in Santiago, Chile). It will run from 5/31/2025 – 6/21/2025. Here is the abstract for the exhibition:

“In the United States, the oldest maintained burying ground was established in 1621. However, designated areas reserved for burial purposes – catacombs, burial grounds, graveyards, and cemeteries – have been built and maintained for much longer than that. The practical use of these places is to bury the remains of the deceased. Varying emotions can be evoked from these sites: grief, pain, sadness, peace, reflection, fear. Social and cultural practices may also influence individual and community perceptions. This exhibition is meant to challenge those assumptions and perceptions, as well as an individual’s subjective emotions, by offering an alternative lens of these sites. The photographs in this exhibition were taken across the New England and Tri-State areas at various points in time. They are reflective of the artist’s taphophilia. Some photographs have been edited and/or enhanced using digital software.”
